There are many people who build amplifiers, but to build an amplifier that actually looks as good as it sounds... now that takes someone special.

I saw a picture of one of James Fisher's Hifi amps on FB and was immediately attracted to the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. I messaged him about commissioning a custom amplifier that I would primarily use for playing blues harmonica. He took the project and ran with it! We communicated throughout the build and David never left me guessing about the status. The product he delivered exceeded my expectations and it is damn hard to play the blues without smiling now! The Mashburn is now my most prized possession! I couldn't be more pleased! Bravo FisherAMPS!

Spent the weekend settling in with the new Beckman. Phenomenal stuff. I shopped around and couldn't find anything comparable that wasn't five times the price. Sure, you can't just walk into a store and take it home day of, but you get a stunning piece of art and the timely updates keep you informed that fabrication is going strong. Great job.

Just played through James' Mashburn...let me tell you this thing sounds like no other amp I've ever played. I play lots of 80s metal and it worked for me! Definitely sounds way louder than what I would expect from a 8w amp! Definitely considering getting one of the amp heads to use with my half stack! It sounds awesome through an Orange 4x12 with celestion v30s.

Everyone knows the big names, the big pioneers in audio: Saul Marantz, Rudy Bozak, Bob Carver, and James (Jim) Marshall. Now its time to add James D. Fisher of FisherAMPS to that list. A true pioneer, a true engineer, with fresh and solid ideas about what Hi-Fi really means. I have two JDF pieces in my permanent collection and he is the only individual who will ever be permitted to service my inventory of special pieces I have been collecting for decades. Keep your eyes on this guy and grab as many of his pieces as you can while his works remain affordable. -Big George, Valencia, California-

I had the opportunity to meet David and test drive both his tube powered Guitar Amp and his tube powered Stereo Amplifier and I must say, I was duly impressed with both. The Guitar Amp has a wonderful and "boutiquely unique" design both inside and out, which gives it a wonderful and "boutiquely unique" sound as well, a pleasure to the ears. I was testing it in an overdrive setting and it sounded like there were a couple of pedals built into the amp, but nope .. just pure tube sound. You can dial in settings on this amp from jazz to rock to blues and several in between. This is an amp truly worthy of both the studio and the stage. Plenty of personality for the studio and punch for the stage. A lifetime amp! The Stereo Amplifier is equally impressive. It has a sound so real and live, you think that your sitting in on the actual recording session, not just listening to a reproduction of it. Going through two floor monitors, the reproduction was so clean and accurate, that it sounded like I was wearing headphones instead. It brought life and breathe to everything from classic rock to bluegrass. An audio experience to definitely write home about! "Fisher Amps .. the go to in sound reproduction!

My first exposure to high fidelity music reproduction was in college in 1973. Many of the guys in the dorm had quality stereos and I learned to love listening to music. Since I've had my Beckman, that love has been renewed. I look forward to coming home in the afternoon and firing up my amplifier and unwinding to some of my favorite classic recordings and exploring some new ones. I have my Beckman paired with Klipsch Heresy speakers. I actually hear things I have never heard before in music that I am familiar with. Besides sounding awesome, the amplifier looks absolutely beautiful. Far from ordinary. Loving it.
